ACES Profiles
About Netscape Profiles
Profiles are used in Netscape Communicator to permit
multiple users on a single workstation. Individual preferences and
settings are stored in a profile. These settings include bookmarks
and digital certificate information. Multiple profiles allow each
user of the workstation to have an individual certificate database
with a unique password.
Generally, when Netscape is first used, a default profile
is created. If there is only one user on the workstation, this default
profile is all that is necessary. If there is only one profile, Netscape
does not present the "Netscape Communicator Profiles" window
at start-up. Once a second profile is added, this window will appear
each time Netscape is launched.
