ORC must receive the printed, notarized Certificate
Request package. ORC will issue your certificate within 3-5 business days of receipt of the
Certificate Request package. (Or ORC will contact you if we have questions regarding the request.
When the certificate is issued ORC will send you a Certificate Issuance Notification (CIN) email.
This email will tell you how to import, export (or back-up), and test your certificate. |

When you import (or retrieve) your certificate you must use
the same computer, same web browser version, and same profile (or username) you used during the on-line
application process. [If you make your request with Internet Explorer (not currently recommended),
ORC recommends that you create an operational copy of your
Certificate Private Key on a portable storage media. Any operational copy of the private key must be
protected in accordance with the ORC ACES Certificate Practice Statement (CPS) section on
Private Key Protection.] |

[For those using Internet Explorer despite our recommendations.] ORC also recommends, that if you know of a network, operating
system, or computer change that will take place from the time you electronically
SUBMIT your request (creating your private key on the computer you are using),
to when you receive
the e-mail notifying you to retrieve your public key, then please
see the Creating an Operational Copy
of your Private Key instructions for the web application used
during the request process. If you need further assistance, please

Any operational copy of the private key must be protected in accordance
